Photoshop 20180103.r26 x64 Mac OS 10.10.5 -- this still happens. I thought it was due to some auto-backup or some CC cloud junk. It is annoying though.

Actually what seems to have worked here is to launch the "Adobe Application Manager" in the Utilities folder and NOT the Creative Cloud desktop app. The Application Manager app appears to just forward to the Creative Cloud desktop app but from there I updated, yet again, .... and it does appear that it finally killed the update notices. Of course, they may reappear in the future.. but at least for now the menubar notice isn't there for the first time in a couple weeks.

I'm having the same issue lately. I do realize this thread is a year old. I can't uninstall the CC desktop app.... I get this warning: > Couldn't uninstall Creative cloud for desktop. You still have Creative Cloud applications installed on your computer that require it. So... am I expected to uninstall EVERYTHING just to fix the constant report of the same updates? And.. well.. am I then going to be expected to download 12GB of apps again???? Bandwidth IS NOT free. I'm just tired of constantly being notified of the same updates being available regardless of how many times I update via the CC app.

Never Mind. See here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/4834213#4834213#4834213#4834213 On the Mac the path is HDD/Library/Application Support/Adobe Then follow the renaming of the three folders as described: Adobe PCD -> Adobe PCDold backup -> backupold caps -> capsold This circumvented the error on my system.

I'm getting this error for ANYTHING. Uninstalling, installing. the cleaner tool simply crashes without messages. Is there something I can do short of a complete system wipe and rebuild? Thanks!

THANK YOU, Jeff. Received. I'm sure all the redirects I see for each and every link posted anywhere (even google) for the cleaner tool is due in part to the update being pushed out. Looks like I need to do a complete system rebuild any way... even the cleaner is crashing without messages. Man I miss DVDs. This is a bit silly and inefficient. CS6 runs fine.

Is there any way the CleanerTool for CC and CS6 can be emailed to me?? It should really be installed along with the uninstallers. It's become imperative since DVDs are no longer an option. I've even tried the public ftp.adobe.com and there's no cleaner tool there either.

Note... just launched CC app and apparently the 2014 apps are there for me. This may be why I can't find the cleaner. I can't install the updates (or uninstall any app) due to some ambiguous "error" which is why I need the cleaner tool... but, as posted, I can't seem to access a download for the cleaner tool on the web anywhere. If I search the downloads I get the "Site temporarily unavailable" page.

Jeff... I am redirected to http://www.adobe.com/special/support/index.html in all instances. I see nowhere to download anything just marketing and tutorial links. I understand a new version is coming tomorrow... I need the cleaner TODAY and it's apparently not available in my location.... only Adobe sales pages. Even if I copy the location from your link and paste it into a new browser window... I'm redirected to the support page. Different browsers.. cleared caches.. nothing but the support page.

They appear to reflect the viewing user's points, not the rollover users points. Everyone has the same points as I do. This is as of today. I actually came here to report this issue.

I find it somewhat annoying to have to go through the 3 step (~5 minute) processes of logging in again every time I pull up a book mark for the forums. Even simply navigating around the forums requires me to log in again at times. Is the cookie timeout just set for 20 minutes to an hour? Does the "remember me" checkbox do nothing? (that how it appears). Can we please get a cookie set so log in is not constantly required?

This is indeed odd behavior. I had to test, and yes, logged in I see my full name, logged out I see my screen name. I should see what "everyone" sees logged in or not. I do not want Google picking up each and every thing I post.

But my point was that I was contributing. True it may not have been the "Oh my that's wonderful" contribution you really wanted. But nonetheless, I contributed. And it's very clear your attitude changed dramatically as soon as anyone stepped in and had anything other than praise to say about your new attempt at a logo. It's impossible to help someone who fails to realize there's value in the opinions of professionals. I suspect you'd have plenty to post if someone started a thread "Sekking photographic advice for a non-photographer." All I was doing is offering critism as requested. It's a shame that you seem to have lumped me in with James' (JET) comments. As for any comment by Wade... it's pointless. I would also add if you're goal was to get a bunch of "That's good. I like it." comments, the artwork would do better on your mom's refrigerator. No one ever improves by someone saying "I like it". All critism is constructive. If you are not a designer, you can't ask for "designer opinions" and expect them to all be favorable. If you brush off any negative comments, then you aren't really looking for any critism, you're only looking for praise.

You sure you don't have any third party software installed? Right Zoom, Better Touch, something which alters input devices? That's the only reason I'm aware of that causes the behavior you describe in only Illustrator.

Well, if the issue doesn't happen with a mouse, then I'd say you may have a faulty stylus or tablet. Do your other workstations also have tablets? Try the stylus on another workstation. Or try the stylus from some other station on the problem one. I just replaced an Art Pen stylus last week due to odd behavior. New stylus shows no issues.

I haven't read the entire thread..... so take what I post with a grain of salt. Sorry, I think this is much stronger.... ......but without the flower. The curved text in your recent images just makes the entire logo appear to be unstable and unbalanced. There clearly appears to be no reason why the text is curved. Becuase of the nature of type the eye wants to READ the name rather than instantly percieve a logo. This creates visual conflict in my opinion. in addition to the fact that when read.. the logo causes the eye to end in a downward, right motion. This motion is commonly considered to promote feelings of meloncholoy or depression. Combine that with the fact that the spacing in the name makes the curved text appear to be off center (I realize it isn't) and I'd say you're headed in a completely unfruitful direction and trying to force something to work when it never really will. My that's just my 2¢.

With Illustrator CC (or CS6), you can not save HTML. There's no feature to save or export HTML using Illustrator CC. You need CS5 or older to save HTML. You can save as SVG if that's approriate. You can export the CSS from Illustrator, then manually build matching HTML. There's no automated method to generate HTML from Illustrator. I think the CSS export is the dumbest, half-**ed feature ever. Why they decided to build CSS export with absolutely zero HTML export is a mystery. Sure the CSS export is good, but it's only half the puzzle and pretty worthless without associated HTML. So, build a page with html elements in Dreamweaver giving them the classes you used in the Illustrator CC CSS Panel, then link the exported Illustrator CC CSS to that html page you build. Or save the AI file as a PDF and use Actobat to export to HTML. Then manually clean up the Acrobat export. Clear as mud right? <sarcasm>And what a fantastic workflow</sarcasm>
